at Jesajah 4 verse 1-6

1. Do you have any comments/questions regarding the speech on the theme 'Sheltering in the Shadow' or about the Bible passage?
 
2. You heard about the image of the heat in the Bible. It was noted that God gives pains on earth until He will come again on the clouds of heaven.
· Which world pangs can you name in history?
· Are there also in our time? Which ones?

3. Judgment and hope go together in the Bible book of Isaiah, but also intersect.
· Why does this go hand in hand?
· Where does this intersect?
· What does that mean for us?

4. What does the following confession from the Heidelberg Catechism (Sunday 10) mean to you in relation to this afternoon's theme?
· Think about who or what in your life is cooling in the heat.

Cathechismus Question 27:
What do you understand by the providence of God?

Answer:
Providence is the almighty and ever-present power of God by which he upholds, as with his hand, heaven and earth and all creatures,  and so rules them that leaf and blade, rain and drought, fruitful and barren years, food and drink, health and sickness, prosperity and poverty —all things, in fact, come to us not by chance but from his fatherly hand.
